What makes a great hobby store?
The games on the shelves help, as well as some fancy eye catching models and displays, the paint could help too, right? Maybe those fancy looking dice over there? Aye, that is true, they all help, but the real heart of NorthernForge Hobbies is the community around the tables, the ones' rolling 1's and 6's left and right, fighting in a galaxy far, far away or recreating historical events.
It is you guys.
Like any good forge, it’s not just the fire and steel that matter, it’s the people who gather around it.
Players, painters, builders, and a wide range of different hobbyists all bringing their passion for tabletop gaming together.
Whether you're rolling dice in your first game, showing off a freshly painted army, or simply chatting about the latest releases, there's always a place for you here. Our tables are open to newcomers and veterans alike.
Because at the end of the day, the best part of the hobby isn’t just the games we play or the models we build and paints.
It’s the community we build around them. The friends we make.

Best way to get involved with us?
Well... If you are local to us, or fancy making the voyage, why not book yourself a table with us to throw some dice!
We offer different durations of Table Hire, for your short Skirmish style games such as: Team Kill and Infinity, to longer Wargame durations for the likes of your Warhammer 40k and Bolt Action games!
We also have plenty of terrain ready for you to use for your games, be it thematic or competitive! And what's that, no army? Worry not! For certain games we are able to provide an Army4Hire for the full duration of your booking for extra £5!
Bit too far for you to get involved directly?
Worry not, thanks to the wonders of technology all of our community members can still stay connected, interact with each other and share all their fun projects or just simply talk about awesome new releases and what not!

A little bit about us
We're a brand new hobby focused retailer joining the market, and aiming to be your new, next, one-stop-shop for all your hobby needs, be it tabletop gaming, collecting or hobby supplies!
From miniatures and tools to paints, basing materials, and everything in between, our goal is to provide hobbyists with the supplies they need to build, paint, and play. Whether you're starting your first army or adding the finishing touches to a your project, we’re here to help you through each and every step of your journey!
While our range may still be growing and we may not exactly have what you're lookign for right now, we’re constantly expanding our selection and working to bring in more products for the community. NorthernForge Hobbies is built around a passion for the hobby and a desire to create a welcoming place for hobbyists of all experience levels.
I myself have started hobbying in 2023, but don't let that fool you! I have done my homework! Starting from small introductory games of Bolt Action, painting a few Space Marines from Warhammer 40k, expanding into attending a variety of conventions and special events (in certain cases 10v10, multiple day events! Some of you may have seen me at Element Games in Stockport participating in some Bolt Action games set across multiple tables ;)
Started with modelling and 3D printing a variety of terrain for different games systems, and thought to myself, "What if instead of just selling the terrain, I sold some tools, paints and models to go with them?" Thus, I decided to take the plunge and open NorthernForge Hobbies in March of 2025! Definitely one of the craziest things I have done, but I do not regret it at once!
With me being a hobbyist myself, I understand how important the community is, which is why I hope to provide you guys with one of the best! Be it for people just starting, or veterans who have been going at this for 20+ years! Everyone is welcome and appreciated!
